Zoa – The flowers of Burkina Faso

Zoa means “friend” in Moré, a local language of Burkina Faso.
Its name reflects the warmth I felt in Ouagadougou, the vibrant capital of this beautiful country.
There, bougainvillea blooms spill over the façades, roadside bars spring up on dusty paths, and wax-printed fabrics fill the markets with colour.
Women weave through the stalls, balancing baskets brimming with fruit and vegetables on their heads.
Zoa is alive with spirit—radiant, vibrant, and joyful—like the smile of a dear friend.
